After positioning the camera rail combination it is then necessary to completely tighten the tilt head otherwise it will move under the weight. This gives far more flexibility but there is then the problem of the weight of the body and lens. I can get more control by mounting the flex tilt head onto the StandOne and mounting the rail onto that. There is no need to use a mounting board, the stand is very stable on its own.
